Michael Kenna was born in Widnes, England in 1953. He studied at the Banbury School of Art and the London College of Printing and graduated in 1976. After working as an advertisement photographer, he moved to San Francisco in 1977 and became a photographic printmaker for eight years. Today, Michael is represented in over 20 galleries all over the world and his work is available to the public in 18 books.
